This week's Abomi Spotlight is on the pre-evolution of the bulky Citrusaurus. It's Clementyke!
Clementyke are little balls of pulp. Your first instinct may be to hug this cutie, but try to refrain. These guys hate being squeezed. You would too if you had juice for blood.
Clementyke love sunny and grassy areas. Clementyke is my third Plant-type reveal in a row, but ah well. Can't get enough of 'em. Next week will be a different type -- I promise.
Also new this week is a feature that's been on my list for years! Inspired by Pokémon Showdown's damage calculator, I thought I'd give players the ability to calc not only their active Abomi's damage, but also how much their benched Abomis' moves would do.
You can't actually attack using this feature; it just lets you see how much your attacks would do so that you can decide whether you want to switch or not.
This feature also extends to the enemy Abomis! You can calc how much their attacks will do to each member on your team. There's a catch, though: you can only do this if they've already shown you that move in the current battle. You'll be able to predict a little bit, though, as you can see what types their moves are.
Also, not pictured this week is all the story work I've been doing. The next boss/their cutscenes are all finished, but I'm holding back any story spoilers for these posts. I hope to mix the bosses up in a way that keeps the player engaged with each one.
